Juzou enables Sail.tv to broadcast live the 32nd America’s Cup
Sail TV, the world’s internet sailing TV channel, working as an AmericasCupAnywhere (www.AmericasCupAnywhere.com) licensee of Alcatel-Lucent, the Official New Media Provider for the 32nd America's Cup, is pleased to announce that its successful coverage of the 32nd America’s Cup in Valencia is to be further expanded.
Beginning on Monday 14th May, Sail TV will begin broadcasting the Semi-final stages of the Louis Vuitton Cup Live on the internet at http://live.sail.tv.
Andrew Steward, Juzou’s CEO said, “It’s an exciting development for us being able to broadcast the racing live on the internet, as it shows the enthusiasm and interest in the channel continues to grow. Since April 1st when Sail TV began the America’s Cup coverage, Sail TV had 100,000 unique visitors from 161 countries, and over 630,000 launches of its players. This clearly illustrates that with the high quality viewing experience Juzou enables, watching sailing through the internet is not only becoming increasingly popular and accepted as ‘standard entertainment’, but is extremely convenient for viewers being able to watch whenever and wherever they want. This together with traditional TV broadcasting clearly offers a powerful combination and an extended reach for events, sponsors and advertisers around the world’’.
Juzou’s technology allows high quality, full screen video delivery through most corporate firewalls, and its robustness and scalability was amply demonstrated during the live broadcast of the 32nd America’s Cup.

Sail TV launches its new platform using the SailingNetworks Web Site. www.sailingnetworks.com is becoming the leading community web site for sailing. It was becoming increasingly obvious that sailors wanted more than television, they wanted a complete portal to allow them to interact and communicate.
The new Sail TV player embedded in the site allows multiple channels to operate, and Sail TV is consolidating other sailing content owners into this one portal. Launched during Cowes Week this web site includes content from Sail TV including Regatta Programs such as Antigua 2006, Cork Week 2006 and of course Cowes Week. In addition, programming from the World Match Racing Tour past and present is being played as an independent sub-channel with its own schedule.
